THEORY COURSE
EVENING COURSE WEEK DAYS

IMPORTANT! The course will be held in Swedish!

In this theoretical evening course for the hunter's degree, we follow a syllabus with study references for the student to read through before each opportunity. After completing the course, you will gain the basic theoretical knowledge of animals and nature, game management, hunting forms and weapon handling that is needed to take the theory test. We also go through the hunting law and the licensing procedure. The course is theoretical, but there are practical elements of, for example, weapon handling, construction and handling of traps, ammunition etcetera. We also use our shooting simulator in our theoretical training to give you a sense of real hunting situations through VR shooting with a weapon replica .

We use the Swedish Hunters' Association's book package "Jägarskolan", which you order yourself before the first meeting (link HERE ).

The main textbook is an inspiring and easy-to-read book. Together with the booklets "Hunting Law", "Study Questions" and the supplementary material on the web, a clear and complete package has been created for your path towards a hunting degree. The package also includes a login to web-based "e-hunting" which contains an audiobook, lots of exercise questions, movies and slide shows that facilitate learning before the hunter exam. The login is valid for one year. The book package also gives you membership in the Swedish Hunters' Association at half price the first year.

The theory test consists of 70 multiple-choice questions, of which at least 60 questions must be answered correctly to be approved. The theory test is taken at an approved test leader. In Luleå, these are at Knöppelåsen's shooting range (link HERE ) and Sunderbyn's Shooting Club (link HERE ). The theoretical test costs SEK 500, and registration and fees are paid on site at the hunting club.

Study referral, invitation and more information will be sent out a few weeks before the course starts.
